John David Rice age 63 of Cambridge passed away at Embassy of Cambridge on Sunday, December 11, 2022 with his family by his side. He was born in Cambridge on October 8, 1959, a son of the late Edward Rice and Virginia (Lange) Rice.
John was a 1978 graduate of Cambridge High School, he joined Medical Explorers at the age of 15 where he found his passion for emergency medicine. He attended MATC while in high school. He began his EMS career with Byrd Ambulance and continued with United Ambulance until September of the year. He was a dedicated employee and always putting others before himself. John was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels for many years.
He leaves his sister Cyndi Rice; a niece Shannon Rice; and a great niece Destiny Rice all of Cleveland. He will be loved and missed by many family, friends and co workers who's lives he has impacted.
