John M. Saffle age 74 of Cambridge, passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at the Morrison House in Zanesville. He was born in McMechen, W.V. on July 18, 1947 a son of the late John W. Saffle and Edna M. (Marple) Saffle.
Mr. Saffle was a graduate of Union High School in Benwood, West Virginia. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in teaching from West Liberty. He played in a rock and roll band called the Tribunes in the Ohio Valley area. John was a teacher for over 35 years, mostly at Cambridge Jr. High and Cambridge Middle School.
John is preceded in death by his parents and a sister Nancy Stewart.
Surviving are: a sister Charlene Anderson of McMechen, W.V.; several nieces and nephews; and his significant other Gretchen Bennett.
