Joseph J. Lucas Jr. age 86, of Cumberland, Ohio passed away on Saturday June 14, 2025 at the Beckett House in New Concord, Ohio. He was born on April 12, 1939 in Wahoning, Ohio to the late Joseph J. Lucas Sr. and Mary (Felia) Lucas. He is also preceded in death by his wife Edna F. Lucas who passed away on April 29, 2005, and also by 7 sisters and 1 brother. He worked as a bridge foreman for the Guernsey County Highway Department and was a former Valley Township Trustee. Joseph is survived by a daughter Valeria (Dave) Echols and 2 sons Joe (Rose) Lucas III and Mark A. Lucas all of Cumberland, Ohio, 7 grandchildren Jennifer and Brandy Lucas, Mark Lucas, Morgan and Emily Echols, Hailie Lucas, and Brian Ivey, 2 great-grandchildren Lahna Cologie and Misha Lucas and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be from 4:00 to 7:00 on Tuesday June 17, 2025 at Bundy-Law Funeral Home with funeral services at 11:00 AM on Wednesday June 18, 2025 at the funeral home with Pastor Karen Rawlins officiating.
