Joseph R. Pruneski, age 73 of Cambridge, Ohio passed away on Tuesday October 22, 2024 at Cambridge Place Assisted Living. He was born on October 23, 1950 in Martins Ferry, Ohio to the late Joseph P. and Mary Lou (Chuckery) Pruneski. He is also preceded in death by his brother Lawrence Pruneski and a brother-in-law Tom Richardson. He graduated from St. Clairsville High School in 1968 and where he played football and ran track. then he went on to graduate from Ohio State University College of Pharmacy in 1973. He retired from CVS as a pharmacist after 39 years. He was a avid sportsman who made lifelong friends who shared his love of shooting sports and he loved riding his motorcycles. He was a member of Christ Our Light Parish. Joseph is survived by his wife Bernadette "Bonnie" (Sikora) Pruneski of Cambridge and whom he married on October 26, 1974, two daughters Angela (Mike) House of New Concord, Ohio and Julie (Nathan) DeLong of Avon Lake, Ohio, a son Michael (Erin) Pruneski of Zanesville, Ohio, 6 grandchildren Ryan and Cameron House, Caleigh Williams, Tayah and Nolan Thompson, and Walton DeLong, 2 sisters Annette Richardson of Columbus, Ohio, Michelle (David) Hawkins of Dublin, Ohio and a sister-in-law Lynne Pruneski of Allentown, PA., and several nieces and nephews, and his beloved rat terrier Duke. Calling hours will be from 11:00 to 1:00 on Saturday October 26, 2024 at Christ Our Light Parish with mass to follow at 1:00 at the church with Father Nicholas Ginnetti officiating.
