Judy (Duty) Meglich spent her remaining years on the land she loved in Salt Fork, Ohio, alongside her devoted husband, Marty Meglich, who survives her. It was there, with him by her side, that she peacefully spent her final days.
Judy was preceded in death by her beloved son, Robert Uplinger, and is survived by her husband, Marty; her daughters, Christina Heppe and Monette Cole; as well as her stepchildren, William (Lisa) Meglich, Jon (Shari) Meglich, and Theresa Meglich. She was a cherished grandmother to Veronica, Robert, Destiny, Elizabeth, Michael, Miranda, Stephen, Kati, Brandon, Baron, Zack, Peyton, and Dale, and a proud great-grandmother to 11 great-grandchildren—each of whom she "loved more."
Judy had a heart for helping others and was a pillar of strength for those around her. From working in bars to owning them, she built a life filled with hard work and ambition. She stood beside her husband, even working alongside him on the railroad, always dedicated to their shared dreams. Judy was funny, smart, and fiercely strong—a woman who left an impact on everyone she met.
She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but her legacy will live on in the love and laughter she shared. Along with her loved ones, she also leaves behind her favorite three travel companions—her beloved dogs, Maggie, Cookie, and Gizmo.
Per Granny's request, close family will have a private event in the summer, and no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of one's choice. Judy's online guest book may be viewed and signed at
