Julia B. Toothman Boyer, age 98, of Cambridge, Ohio passed away August 25, 2021. She was born May 17, 1923 in Barnesville, Ohio. Daughter of the late O.G. (Jerry) Toothman and Georgia Dilly Toothman. Julia was a Registered Nurse and worked as The Surgical Nurse at Swan Hospital. Staff nurse at Guernsey Memorial Hospital and Guernsey County Health Dept. She also worked at Cambridge City Schools as a Nurse. Julia retired from The Cambridge State Hospital in 1983.
Along with her parents Julia is preceded in death by her husband Charles F. Boyer on Dec. 26, 1997. A brother Willis (Bill) who was killed in action during World War II in the South Pacific on July 25, 1943. A brother Roy who died July 25, 2001 and a twin sister Jane Chambers who died Dec. 30, 2009. Julia was a protestant by faith.
She leaves a daughter Barbara and a son-in-law Bill Simpson of Austin, Texas. Two sons, Brent and Jerry Boyer of Cambridge, Ohio. Two granddaughters, Suzanne McConnaughey and Sara Kirby. Two grandsons, Tyler and Troy. Three great grandsons, Aiden , Graeme McConnaughey and Grant Kirby.
Her body was donated to The Dept. Of Anatomy at the Ohio State University College of Medicine. The body will be cremated and buried at Northwood Cemetery at a later date. There will be no calling hours or service.
