Obituary

Kenneth "Bud" Larrick, age 91 of Cambridge, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at his home, with his wife and daughters by his side. He was born on June 21, 1933, son of the late Wilbur R. Larrick and Gladys Mae "Nellie" (Evans) Larrick.
Born and raised in Guernsey County. Bud was a graduate of Old Washington High School. He worked the dairy farm with his father and shore sheep for over 50 years. He was a Center Township Trustee for 24 years and served as a director for the Guernsey County Fair Board. Bud served on several committees including, the ASC committee and the Farmers Home Committee. He was the Republican Central Committeeman for many years as well as a member of the Republican Party, the Farm Bureau and Center Methodist Church. He served as Guernsey County Commissioner from 1989 to 1992 and had also drove truck for Parnell Associates. Bud made many friends and acquaintances over the years and went above and beyond being helpful to his neighbors. To know him was to love him.
He leaves his wife of 67 years, Myra (Long) Larrick; three daughters, Marcia (& Carl Cronin) Scheffler of Zanesville, Mindy (& Ralph) McConaughy of Lore City and Brenda (& Doug) Dodd of Cambridge; grandchildren, Jeff (& Erica) McConaughy, Jackie (& Kyle) Cochran, Jill (& Brad) Carpenter, Elysse (& Dirk) Scheffler, Ethan (& Krystal) Scheffler, Seth (& Emily) Scheffler, Ryan Dodd and Paige (& Timmy) Mourer; great grandchildren, Neil, Natalie and Nolan McConaughy, Kylie and Layken Cochran, Sophie and Rex Carpenter, Blair Amspaugh, Knox, Nellie and Vada Scheffler, Mason Dodd and Wyatt Mourer; a sister Delores Elaine Williams of Lore City and several nieces and nephews.
Bud is preceded in death by: his parents; a sister Wilma L. Doutt; two brother-in-laws, Amos Doutt and Jack Williams; and a nephew Brent Doutt.
Visitation will be at Bundy-Law Funeral Home on Friday, March 14, 2025 from 4 to 7 pm. His funeral service will be on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 11 am, officiated by Pastor Jeff Eschbaugh. Burial will follow in Center Cemetery. The family would like to give a special thanks to Jeff Arnold and Nicole McClelland and to Hospice of Guernsey.
