Obituary

Larry G. Burris, age 81 of Cambridge, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024 at The Landings of Westerville. He was born on January 18, 1943 in Cambridge, a son of the late Leo M. Burris and Dorothy L. (Feaster) Burris.

Mr. Burris was a 1960 graduate of Old Washington HS. Larry served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1960 to 1966 as A1C C130 Crew Chief. He worked 25+ years and retired from NCR in Purchasing. He was a member of Christ Our Light Parish and was member of VFW and Elks. Larry loved life, loved his family and had no regrets. He loved being outdoors & spending holidays with family. His hobbies were eating out, grandkids, travel, cars, hunting, fixing things and spreading fertilizer as he would say. Larry was a friend to many and never met a stranger and could always make you smile with his personality. He was a handyman to many and taught many how to fix things, even the girls. His proudest accomplishment is the success of his family.

Larry is survived by his wife of 62 years Mary (Bezek) Burris; children, Noreen Welch (Jack) of Worthington, granddaughter Hannah, Brian Burris of Dublin grandchildren Cameron & Juliana; daughter in law Susan, grandchildren Katie Weber (Lucas), Doug Burris (Sara) and Kristen Burris, great grandchildren Nolan, Savannah, Lorelei, Leo, Laney, Brothers James Burris (Deborah), Jerry (Rose), sister in law Beverly (Kenny Choma) and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by: his parents and a son Jeff, whom also loved life and family and touched many lives and left this world way too early. Ralph and Mary Bezek.

Visitation will be at Bundy-Law Funeral Home on Friday, April 12, 2024 from 6 to 8 pm. The Funeral Mass will be at Christ Our Light Parish on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 11 am with visitation an hour prior, starting at 10 am. Father Nicholas Ginnetti will officiate with burial to follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Military Graveside Rites will be performed by the Guernsey County Veterans' Council.
