Lily Agnes Carney Hoey, was called home by her Lord on Sunday, December 1, 2002, at 11:15PM, in London, Ohio.
She was born September 27, 1912, in Buffalo, Ohio. Lily was the daughter of the late James and Mary Carney. Lily was a 1930 graduate of Buffalo High School. She was a lifetime resident of Cambridge on Larrick Ridge Road. Lily was preceded in death by her husband William Joseph ''Bill'' Hoey in 1988, with whom she had celebrated 50 wonderful years. Also preceding her in death are her brother and sister and their spouses: James and Ada Carney and Wayne and Margaret Carrithers, also by a daughter Rose Marie Hoey who died shortly after birth. Sisters in Law: Catherine Grubbs and Margaret Hoey.
She is survived by her Son and Daughter In Law William ''Ted'' and Sally Hoey of London, Ohio. Grandchildren Doug and Laura Hoey, Bill and Julie Miller and Jay and Maureen Hoey. Great Grandson Liam Miller. She was blessed with many Nieces, Nephews and Cousins in Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, Florida, Tennessee and Alabama.
Lily was a faithful member of the St. Benedict Catholic Church,She was a member of The Young at Hearts Club, Alter and Rosary Society, and the Catholic Daughters of America.
There will be a gathering of family and friends at Bundy-Law Funeral Home Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM , with a Wake Service at 8:00PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10:00AM at St. Benedict Catholic Church with Fr. Robert Borer officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cambridge, Ohio.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Benedict Catholic Church or St. Benedict Catholic School.
