Lois Ross Murphy Branam, age 94 of Cambridge, passed away on Monday, December 31, 2018 at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center. She was born on November 14, 1924 in Raleigh, N.C., a daughter of the late Roger Murphy and Queenie (Lee) Murphy Colburn.
Mrs. Branam was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church. Many years ago, she had worked for NASA in New York.
Lois is preceded in death by: her parents; and her husband Robert E. Branam in 2009.
She is survived by: a daughter Gloria Ross Hu of Cambridge; a son Charles Von Ross of New York; two step-sons Dwight (Kay) and Matthew; seven grandchildren: Wallace (Vonshay), Jarrette (Evelyn), Davidia, Charles, Justice, Asia and Reggie; many great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews; two cousins, Eddie Lee Jr and Ida May Simpson; and two adoptive daughters, Eva Smith Humphrey and Flo Atkins.
A memorial service will be held at Macedonia Baptist Church at 221 Clark Street, Cambridge at 12 pm on Saturday, January 5, 2019. Pastor Dr. LH Jackson of Columbus will officiate the service.
