Marion L. Abel, age 79 of Cambridge, died Thursday, January 24, 2008 at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center. He was born in Cadiz, Ohio on March 10, 1928, son of the late Ralph C. Abel and Mamie Samples Abel.
Marion was retired from the former Cambridge State Hospital. He was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church. He served his country in the U.S. Army then in the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Abel is survived by: his wife, Doris June Moose Abel, whom he married on November 9, 1950; 2 daughters, Brenda Leonard Bates, and Sharon Domoracki both of Cambridge, OH.; 1 son, Mark Robyn Abel of Cambridge, OH.; 1 brother, Donald Charlyne Abel of Brunswick, OH.; 4 grandchildren, Terri David Martin, Matthew Domoracki, Isaiah Abel and Brianna Abel; 4 great grandchildren, Austin Bates, Madison, Brittani, and Olivia Martin.
Visitation will be on Sunday, January 27, 2008 from 4 to 7pm at Bundy-Law Funeral Home. The service will be on Monday, January 28, 2008 at 11:00am with Rev. Dr. Allan Bevere officiating. Burial will follow in Guernsey Memory Gardens. A Flag Presentation will be conducted on Sunday evening at 6:30pm by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
