In Loving Memory of Marjorie L. Ankrum

Marjorie (Marge) L. Ankrum, 89, of Kimbolton, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, October 26, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Marge was born on April 4, 1937, in Kimbolton, the daughter of the late John S. and Mary F. Miller. She graduated from Plainfield High School.

On July 19, 1958, Marjorie married Donnie H. Ankrum. Together, they built a life centered on family, hard work, and their love for farming. Throughout their marriage, they raised four children and created a lifetime of cherished memories.

Marge was a true farm woman at heart. The farm was an important part of who she was, and she enjoyed it immensely, especially the fall harvest. She loved the cattle, hay fields, and corn, finding great satisfaction in the daily work and changing seasons. She understood the rewards of hard work and the beauty of country living.

In addition to farming, Marjorie found great joy in being a homemaker and spending time with her family. Her home and farm were places of love, comfort, and cherished memories. She was happiest when surrounded by the people she loved, and her family will forever treasure the lessons she taught and the stories she shared.

Marge is survived by her loving husband, Donnie H. Ankrum; her four children, Nancy J. Ankrum, Janet L. (Kelly Buxton) Warne, Robert H. Ankrum, and Karen E. Mihalik; four grandchildren, Jessie Mihalik, Jamie (Cody Johnson) Mihalik, Katie Mihalik, and Jared (Sami Straits) Warne; and her great-granddaughter, Ember Johnson.

Marge also leaves behind dear friends who held a special place in her heart, including Carol Ringer, Louise Swigert, Emma and Wesley VanFossen, and Ella Gail McPeak, Butch Gatrell and many others whose friendships enriched her life.

She was preceded in death by special friends Rita Lowe, Bonnie Landman, and Ginger Hassinger, as well as special cousins Shirley Douglas, Bill Gray, and Tom Gray.

The family will be forever grateful to Pastor Karen Rawlins, Jim Gibson, and Carolyn Saft for their love, care, and support.

Marge leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and a lifetime of hard work. Her family was her greatest blessing, and the farm she loved will forever hold memories of her presence.

A memorial service will be held and announced at a later date. Marge’s online guest book may be viewed and signed at www.bundy-lawfuneralhome.com.
