Mark J. Yemich, age 60 of Cambridge passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was born in Wheeling, W.V. on February 5, 1951 a son of Sophia (Shinoski) Sasser of Cambridge and the late Marko Yemich.

Mr. Yemich served his country in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam era. He was a owner operator truck driver. He enjoyed dirt track racing and watching his grandchildren play sports.

Mark is survived by: wife Betty J. (Wallace) Yemich, whom he married on September 30, 1969; their two daughters, Melissa Yemich and Staci Crawford; two sisters, Irene (Tim) Tidball and Rebecca Miller all of Cambridge; four grandchildren, Brittany (Bryan) Carpenter, Karlie Anderson, Laine Crawford and Haley Crawford.

He was preceded in death by his father Marko and his step-father, James Sasser.


Visitation will be on Thursday, January 19, 2012 from 2 to 8 pm at Bundy-Law Funeral Home. The service will be on Friday at 11am. Burial will follow in Northwood Cemetery where Military Graveside Rites will be performed by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
