Obituary

Marlene Elaine (Grubbs) Pittman, age 75, resident of Oakland, Tennessee and wife of Ken Pittman Sr., departed this life Wednesday evening, October 30, 2024 at St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett, Tennessee.

Marlene was born July 21, 1949 in Zanesville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Charles E. Grubbs, Sr. and Evelyn Stewart Grubbs. She graduated from Cambridge High School and attended Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas, where she met the love of her life, Ken Pittman Sr.. They were married August 9, 1970. She was a homemaker throughout her life and enjoyed providing childcare to three girls, whom she adored.

Marlene was a member of West Fayette Church of Christ in Eads, Tennessee. God was first in her life and she lived a Godly life. She was a Christian who enjoyed going to church, teaching Bible classes and devoting time to her family. Her hobbies included crafting, scrapbooking, traveling and taking care of her grandchildren. She will be remembered for being a devoted and supportive wife for 54 years.

Marlene is survived by her husband Ken Pittman Sr., two sons Kenny Pittman of Lagrange, KY., and Matt (Kelley) Pittman of Austin, TX., a brother Charles E. Grubbs Jr. of Garrettsville, Ohio and eight grandchildren Cadence Pittman of Louisville, KY., Micah Pittman of Louisville, KY., Franklin Pittman of Fayetteville, AR., Hannah Pittman of Lagrange, KY., Molly Pittman of Austin, TX., Ethan Pittman of Lagrange, KY., Gram Pittman of Austin, TX., and Levi Pittman of Lagrange, KY..

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Paul Grubbs.

Calling hours will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 on Tuesday November 5, 2024 with funeral services to follow at 1:30 at Bundy-Law Funeral Home. Burial will take place in Northwood Cemetery.
