Martha Jane Meckley, age 65 of Byesville, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at Enclave of Cambridge. She was born on February 22, 1961 in Cambridge, a daughter of the late Fred Junior Chase and Betty June (Saffell) Chase.

Martha had worked at many area factories throughout her life. She enjoyed watching Westerns and Sci-Fi movies and enjoyed the company of her cockatiel “Scaredy” she had for over 31 years.

She is survived by: her siblings Clara (Leo) Shaw, Bonnie Fulton, Dodie (Don) White, Reda (Charles) Thompson, Donna (Glenn) Davis, Loretta Chase and Tim Chase; and many nieces and nephews.

Martha is preceded in death by her parents: and three brothers, Roger, Robert and Chad Chase.
