Mary Kathryn Mallett Egley, age 61 of Canal Winchester, formerly of Cambridge, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Ohio State University Medical Center. She was born on January 29, 1950 in Zanesville, a daughter of the late F. Dean Mallett and Mary E. (Ramsey) Mallett.
Mrs. Egley was Presbyterian by faith. She worked along with her family at Mary's Ice Cream in Cambridge.
She leaves: four sisters, Martha Zeigel (Jay Vucic) of Columbus, Nina Lynn (Marty) Danley of New Concord, Glenda (Gene) Umstott of Kimbolton and Patty (Chris) Canfield of Dover; two brothers, Jon Mallett of Delaware and Vaughn Mallett of Thornville; an uncle, Paul (Margaret) Ramsey of Zanesville; two aunts, Nina Kulka of New Concord and Mildred Ferri of MI; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins.
Kathy was preceeded in death by: her parents, F. Dean and Mary E. Mallett; a son, Marc Egley and a sister, Lydia Bruny.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Bundy-Law Funeral Home from 5 to 8 pm. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at Zion Cemetery on Claysville Road at 11 am. Pastor Jim Spain will officiate the service.
