Mary E. Jackson Srode, age 80 of Cambridge, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at her home. She was born in Cambridge on July 21, 1942, a daughter of the late Herbert Burris Sr. and Erna (Garrett) Burris.
Mary was a 1959 graduate of Cambridge High School. She was a member of the Ninth Street United Methodist Church, and played the organ for many years. She was an executive secretary at RCA and NCR and had also worked at Guernsey County Department of Job and Family Services. She enjoyed artistically painting and drawing.
She leaves: her husband Walter E. Srode Jr.; a brother Herb Jr.(Janice) Burris; and a step son Scott (Julie) Jackson, 3 grandchildren Anthony, Aaron, and Autumn Jackson and 13 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by: her parents, and her first husband Charles Jackson.
Visitation will be at Bundy-Law Funeral Home on Sunday, September 11th from 2 to 4 pm with the funeral service to begin at 4 pm. Burial and committal services will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio on Monday, September 12, 2022 at 12 pm.
