Mary Jane Mathews, age 81, of Cambridge, OH passed away Tuesday December 31, 2019 at The Morrison House in Zanesville, OH. She was born on June 12, 1938 to the late Howard W. Pethtel and Helen C. Decker Pethtel in Antrim, OH. Jane was retired from Federal Mogul in Cambridge, OH. A member of Bible Baptist Church in Byesville, OH.
Jane is survived by her husband, Gary Irwin Mathews who she married January 30, 2010. Two daughters, Cindy (Robert) Thiele of Crossville, TN and Dawna (John) Morton of Cambridge, OH. One son, Roger (Julia) Kerr of Cambridge, OH. Four brothers: James (Betty) Pethtel of Cambridge, OH, William (Judy) Pethtel of Cambridge, OH, Jerry (Patti) Pethtel of Zanesville, OH, Timothy (Luann) Pethtel of Cambridge, OH. Seven grandchildren: Joe E. (Lindsey) Bartunek, Christopher (Jessica) Kerr, Elise (Josh) Baker, Derek (Aneeqa) Thiele, Audrey (James) Hagar, Jonathan Morton, Dawson Morton. Great Grandchildren: Lincoln, Miriam, Emory, Addison, Cameron, Kennedy, Damian. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call 3 to 7 Thursday at Bundy-Law Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held 11:00 am Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Northwood Cemetery with Dr. Steve Leathley officiating.
