Melba I. Henry, age 83, of Byesville, OH passed away Wednesday April 23, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on February 18, 1942 in Cambridge, OH to the late Ervil and Bernice (Watson) Dudley. She attended Byesville High School and later received her GED. Melba was a member of the New Concord Church of Christ in New Concord, OH. She worked for Rolling Hills Local School District for 25 years as a cook. United Ambulance in Cambridge for 2 years as an EMT and Byesville Fire Department for 5 years. She loved spending time with her husband John who passed away November 23, 2024; The love of her life, her children, grandchildren. She loved baking, crocheting, reading books and helping those in need.

In addition to her parents Melba is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years John A. Henry Jr. Her sisters, Eleanor (Lewis) Grudier, Yvonne Gordon, In-laws, John and Virginia (Laurer) Henry. Brother-in-law, Richard Henry. Sister-in-law's Joan (Gary) Hoffman, Virginia (Karl) Taylor. One granddaughter, Lauren Johnson-Wear, A great great grandson Ashton Frenton.

She is survived by Two daughters, Denise (Jeff) Jurkovich and Laura (Brian) Wear. Two sons, John (D. Denise) Henry and Albert (Ruth Ann) Henry. One brother, Ed Dudley. Grandchildren: John (Crystal) Henry Jr, Amber (Carl) Peterson, Misty (Tim) Johnson, Heather (Mike) Frenton, Adam Henry, Lily Henry, Christopher Henry, Hannah (Mark) Spade, Joseph Jurkovich, Jennifer Larrick, Ariel Wear, Autumn (Jeff) Cutlip. Eleven great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. Sister-in-laws, Delores (Jim) Hydock, Lucille Drespling. Brother-in-law, Paul (Gail) Henry.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 Saturday April 26, 2025 at Bundy-Law Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be at 11 am Saturday at the funeral home with Terry Townsend officiating and burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
