Melissa A. Maynard, age 49 of Cambridge, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025 at her home. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on April 5, 1975, a daughter of Charles Estep and the late Charlotte A. (Rollins) Maynard.
Melissa was a 1993 graduate of Cambridge High School. She then went to Belmont Technical College.
Melissa was the kind of person who loved deep, and had the strength of a warrior. She gave generously without expectation of anything in return. She was loved and now missed by so many. Not only breaking many hearts with her sudden death, even though she is hurting less, she left so many a hurting mess. Her children state to have called her "mom" makes them feel blessed. Her world revolved around her fiancé, her children, and her grandchildren. Melissa always stood by her kids whether she agreed with them or not. She enjoyed going to the beach, having cook outs, and spending time with family.
Survived by her loving and caring father Charles (Connie) Estep; her loving fiancé "June" Rivera; children, Ashlee (Will) Bowen, Kody Jones, Keith Jones, Courtney (Vince) Jones, Jeremiah Rivera, James Rivera and Starr Rivera; many grandchildren, Wyatt Jones, Kingston Jones, Koby Jones, Evahlin Bowen, Paisleigh Bowen, Brody Jones, Knox Jones, Jazzlynn Culberson, Cleah Dennis, Ezekiel Kelley and Hazel Russell; sister Jackie Maynard and three nephews, Cobin (Linda) Carte, Chris (Joey) Miller and Charlie Carte.
Preceded in death by her mother Charlotte A. Maynard; her biological father Keith Maynard; her grandmothers, Myrtle Estep and Grace Rollins; and her uncle Lonnie Maynard.
A memorial visitation will be held at Bundy-Law Funeral Home on Sunday, March 9, 2025, from 1 pm to 3 pm. A celebration of life will follow at the Cambridge Eagles from 4 pm to 6 pm.
