Myrtle Leota Lucas Grimsley, age 75 of New Lexington, Ohio, died Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. She was born on June 29, 1934 in Quaker City, a daughter of the late Zella Lucas Carpenter.
Myrtle retired from the deli at Go Mart. She was a member of the Quaker City Christian Church.
She was married on November in 1973 to Curtis A. Grimsley, he died in 1993.
Surviving are: two daughters, Monica Adkins of Barnsville, and Carla Billy of New Lexington; a son Herbert Carpenter of Wharfordsburg, PA.; a sister, Mary Ella Christman of Lafferty; six grandchildren, Lori Adkins, Beth Adkins, Steve Adkins, Dustin Carpenter, Kyle Billy and Kelsey Billy; two great grandchildren, Jaedyn Adkins and Alexander Richards.
Visitation will be on Monday, September 28, 2009 from 10am till 12pm with a memorial service at 12pm. Burial will follow in Guernsey Memory Gardens.
