Nancy C. "Chris" Carpenter, age 73 of Cambridge, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2019 at the Morrison House in Zanesville. She was born on March 2, 1946 in Grundy, Virginia, a daughter of the late Andrew Ferrell and Bessie (Harman) Ferrell.
Mrs. Carpenter was a restaurant manager and enjoyed playing bingo, reading and gardening. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Nancy is survived by: daughters, Kelley (Charles) Kenworthy of Cambridge, and Teresa Oberlin of Canal Winchester; a step-daughter Patti Messner of Colorado; grandchildren, Ashley Kenworthy, Amber Kenworthy, Brittany Kenworthy, Joseph Oberlin, Kenny (Shelby) Hall, Alyssa (JD) Hull, Derek Kiggans and Christopher Bailey, Diane (Josh) Evans; eight great grandchildren Mason, Braiden, Kylan, Jaydon, Harper, Brennan, Joshua and Savanaha; and many nieces and nephews; and her best friend Darlene Brown; her siblings, Tivis Ferrell of OH, Charlie Ferrell of AZ, Ollie Ferrell of AZ; and two sisters, Irmal Shelton of OH and Edith Sanro of PA.
She is preceded in death by: her parents; a son Lance Carpenter; and her siblings, Thelma Keen, Jackie Farley and Bonnie Foltz.
