Nancy L. Shambaugh passed away on Sunday May 17, 2020 at the Genesis Hospice Morrison Place care facility in Zanesville, OH.
Nancy Lee Zuppe was born March 31, 1952 the daughter of the late Sam and Norma Zuppe of Midland, PA. Nancy lived much of her adolescent life with her Grandfather and Grandmother, the late Raymond and Kathryn (Stephen) Dearth of Wintersville, Ohio and later with her mother and step-father John and Norma Yaquinta.
Nancy graduated from the Wintersville High School in 1970 and the East Liverpool School of Nursing 3 year diploma program in 1973. Nancy is survived by her husband , Mark Shambaugh and their Son Matt and Daughter-in-law, Karissa and 6 month old Grandson, Grayson Lee who reside in Dayton,OH; as well as several brother and sister-in-Laws, nieces and nephews.
Nancy worked as a Registered Nurse for 42 years, the last 25 years at the Area Agency on Aging as a clinical supervisor, Region 9 in Cambridge where she received the "Elder Caregiver Award" from the State of Ohio in 2011. Nancy was a member of The Stop Nine Church of Christ.
A Graveside Service will be held 12N Saturday May 23, 2020 at The Fairview Cemetery in Jewett, OH.
As there will not be any viewing services, and in lieu of flowers; donations may be sent to Hematology-Oncology Research Fund in honor of Dr. Sumithira Vacu 1480 West Lane Ave. Columbus, Ohio 43211 or to Area Agency of Aging Region 9 Foundation 710 Wheeling Ave. Cambridge, Ohio 43725.
