Norma J. Gibson, age 94 of Concord, North Carolina, formerly of Cambridge, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2025 at her home in Concord. She was born on February 11, 1931 in Stark County, Ohio, a daughter of the late Calvin B. Davis and Florence T. (Caldwell) Davis.
Mrs. Gibson was a graduate of Cambridge High School. She had worked as a secretary / treasurer of Cal Davis Construction Company and had also been the office manager at MX Steel.
Norma was a member of the First Baptist Church for over 83 years and had also served as a Sunday School teacher. She had also served terms on the Board of Christian Education and on the Board of Deaconess.
Norma is survived by: her husband of 76 years, George H. Gibson, they were married on March 15, 1949; three sons, David (& Mary Ann) Gibson of Castle Pines, CO, Donald (& Linda) Gibson of Cambridge, OH., and Dennis (& Trish) Gibson of Harrisburg, N.C.; grandchildren, Denise (& Mark) Hing, Lindsey (& Chuck) Hilling, Erin (& Matt) Overholt, Andrew (& Janelle) Gibson, Ross (& Theresa) Gibson, Mitch (& Hilary) Gibson and Jake (& Morgan) Gibson; great-grandchildren, Maggie, Kaelin, Zoey, Reagan, Preston, Elli, Dane, George, Riley and Ashton.
She is preceded in death by: her parents; a sister Marjorie Ricketts; and a brother James D. Davis.
Visitation will be at Bundy-Law Funeral Home on Monday, April 28, 2025 from 11 am to 1 pm with services to begin at 1 pm. Burial will follow in Northwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church at 136 E. 8th Street Cambridge, Ohio 43725 or to the Guernsey County Senior Citizens Center at 1022 Carlisle Avenue Cambridge, Ohio 43725.
