Paul L. Kenworthy

Paul L. "Johnny" Kenworthy, age 85 of Indian Camp passed away Monday, January 19, 2009 at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center. Paul was born January 31, 1923 in Knox Twp. He owned and operated the family farm and did custom hauling for the Farmers Supply Company. He was also a Knox Township trustee for 23 years. Mr. Kenworthy was an active member and a former trustee of Mt. Hermon Presbyterian Church and a 60 year member of The Indian Camp Grange. Paul was a W.W.II Navy Veteran serving on The USS Columbus. He enjoyed bowling, deer hunting, playing softball and loved playing card games. He encouraged his grandchildren and great grandchildren in everthing they did as well as attending their activities. One of his favorite things was to have all of his family together for Sunday dinner at his house and taking his great grandchildren rides on his golf cart. His door was always open. Paul was preceded in death by: his parents, Fred Kenworthy and Bessie Craig Kenworthy; and a daughter, Elma Mae who passed away in 1949. Surviving are: his wife, Grace Archer Kenworthy of 62 years, they were married January 17, 1947; one daughter, Betty Steve Hinson of Cambridge; one son, Bill Bonnie Kenworthy of Cambridge; two sisters, Pauline Geese of West Lafayette and Ethel Leslie Gibson of Cambridge; one brother, Willis Jane Kenworthy of Columbus; grandchildren; Mandy Aaron Shaffer, Joe Jessy Hinson, Bob Hinson all of Cambridge, Brian Jodi Kenworthy of Kimbolton, Mike Amber Kenworthy, Jason Brooke Kenworthy both of Cambridge, Stacey Buck Musselman of Zanesville, and Shane Jennifer Paul of Orgonia, OH; great grandchildren, Brody Shaffer, Dakota Hinson, Dylan Nelson, Isaiah Jackson, Caden, Kendal, Bailey Kenworthy, Aleea, Taylor, Clay, JP Musselman, Elle and Emma Paul. Friends may call Wednesday, January 21, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at Bundy-Law Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday at the Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Hutchison officiating. Burial will be in Northwood Cemetery where Military Graveside Rites will be conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
