Paul Edward Morrison 89 years of age passed away Wednesday, April 19th at his home. He was the son of the late Homer and Margaret (Merideth) Morrison. He was born in Eastern Guernsey County on the family farm. He was a 1951 graduate of Madison High School and a member of Modern Woodman and Piedmont UMC. Paul was a former buyer for wool growers, logger, sheep shearer and horse puller. He excelled at both sheep shearing and horse pulling. He brought home more than one trophy with both. Even winning sheep shearing contests well into his 60's. His passion for John Deere tractors would be hard to beat. He had quite the collection, and his knowledge far surpassed that of the average person.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Lee Burton Morrison. Surviving are his wife Vesta G. (Doudna) Morrison whom he wed January 22, 1955. His sister Frances (Morrison) Morris. Son Ronnie Morrison (Janet). Granddaughter, Rachel R. Morrison (Jeremy). Three Great grandsons, Paul D., Parker W. and Presley R. Morrison. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Saturday at Bundy-Law Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will begin at 2 PM Sunday at Bundy-Law Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Antrim Cemetery on 513. Rev. John Little officiating.
