Phillip H. Quantz, age 78 of Cambridge, passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at Adams Lane Health Care in Zanesville. He was born on January 1, 1945 in Marquette, Michigan, a son of the late Howard Quantz and Alice Jane (Greet) Quantz.
He served his country in the U.S. Marines as a combat engineer in Vietnam. When he came home from the war, he married the love of his life Stephanie (Rodriguez). Phillip worked at Champion Spark Plug in Michigan until it's closing, then began his career with the Cambridge company until retirement. He was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Cambridge and the VFW Post 2901. He dearly loved his kids and grandkids.
He is survived by: his wife of 55 years Stephanie Quantz; their children, Christine Scicluna, David Quantz, Tim (& Madeline) Quantz and Patricia (& Job) Rios; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren; five sisters, Becky, Berty, Gigi, Georgia and Ruth; and many nieces and nephews.
Phillip is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Alice Quantz and his step-mother Vivian Quantz.
Visitation will be at Bundy-Law Funeral Home on Friday, September 8, 2023 from 12 pm to 2 pm with the service to begin at 2 pm. Burial will follow at Guernsey Memory Gardens where Military Graveside Rites will be conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
