Obituary

Ralph Christian Mason, age 94 of Cambridge, passed away after a brief illness, on Monday, July 28, 2025 at his home, surrounded by family. He was born in Gibson County, Indiana on October 28, 1930, a son of the late Richard Ulysis Mason and Deliah A. (Burns) Mason.
Mr. Mason grew up in Indiana, working the family farm as a young boy and also working at Princton Farms. He then served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a tank driver, and proud to be a sharpshooter and a 45 caliber expert. After his service time, around 1963 they moved to Ohio. He worked the oilfield and retired from J & B Drilling in New Concord. Ralph was a member of the Ninth Street United Methodist Church, the Cambridge V.F.W and the American Legion. In his spare time he could be found working on or with his John Deere tractors.
He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Fletta J. (Beard) Mason; a daughter Jewell Lynn Albaugh (& Dwight L.) of Cambridge; a son Ralph Christian Mason II (& Tamara) of Winchester,VA; grandchildren, Jayme L. Mason and Ralph Christian Mason III (& Lisa); great grandchildren, Taylor Huntsberry (& Dylan), Brice Huntsberry (& Ryleigh), Baylee Mason and Ralph Christian Mason IV; great great grandchildren, Adalynn Cline and Ida Mae Cline; and numerous niece and nephews.
Ralph is preceded in death by: his parents; eight siblings; and many nieces and nephews.
