Rebecca Sue Anderson, born Rebecca Sue Wright on March 12, 1954, passed away on December 15, 2023.
Becky was preceded in death by Lloyd and Jean Wright and John Card. Becky is survived by her husband of 46 years, John P. Anderson. Becky was a special education elementary and high school teacher for 30 years. Becky earned the awards of South Eastern Ohio Teacher of the Year and was a Martha Holding Jennings Scholar. She was instrumental in implementing and leading inclusion teaching at Garfield Elementary. Becky also taught student teachers through Muskingum College and volunteered at the John Glenn Museum in New Concord, Ohio. After retiring, she enjoyed traveling and camping at state and national parks, and spending time with friends and family across the country. Becky's perseverance and self confidence motivated her aspirations professionally and personally throughout her life. Her children are Kelly M. Adlesh (Tim) and Eric J. Anderson (Hillary). Becky's grandchildren are Anderson J. Adlesh and Rory W. Adlesh and grandchildren Clayton K. Adlesh and Mason T. Adlesh. Becky is also survived by two brothers, Michael L. Wright and Bennie J. Wright.
Arrangements are being handled by Bundy-Law Funeral Home. Calling hours will be held from 3 to 6 pm Friday, December 22 at the funeral home and from 10 till 11 am Saturday, December 23, 2023 at Christ Lutheran Church. The funeral service will be held at the Church 11 am on Saturday, December 23, 2023 with Pastor Richard Cox officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Guernsey County Senior Center at 1022 Carlisle Avenue, Cambridge, Ohio 43725.
