Richard L. Ackley, age 77 of Caldwell, Ohio formerly of Canton, Ohio passed away Saturday May 11, 2019 at the Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center. He was born on November 11, 1941 in Canton, Ohio to the late Howard G. and Edna (Moore) Ackley. He was also preceded in death by a brother Ronald Ackley. He was a King Fisherman, a member of the Game Reserve Association, B.A.S.S., and the N.R.A.. Richard is survived by a daughter Ronda (Tim) Greaves of Canton, Ohio, a son Richard C. Ackley of Sandler, Texas, 5 grandchildren Joshua (Lydia) Greaves, Megan (Andrew) Walker, Emily (Brian) Martin, Jessica Ackley, and Jared Ackley, a great granddaughter Louisa Greaves, a sister Carol Wise of Canton, Ohio and several nieces and nephews. Such a profound Loss- He loved his family and never met a person that he didn't consider to be a friend. He was so kind and full of wisdom. He was a Free Spirit, and He always had a fishing rod in the car. (Just in case) He was a king fisherman and he loved to go hunting on his family farm. He lived his life well and he will be missed by all who loved him. One of his favorite sayings was, " talk about me good, or talk about me bad, just talk about me." We can still hear him chuckle as he said it. His fight is over and now he will rest in the arms of Jesus. A memorial service will take place at a later date.
