Richard E. Journey, age 68 formally of Pleasant City (Walhonding) Ohio died Friday October 21, 2022 at his home in Charleston, Illinois. Richard was retired from CSX Railroad. After retiring he completed Licensed Practical Nurse training and was employed at the time of his death by Charleston Rehabilitation & Health Center.
Preceding Richard in death were his parents, Pete and Leona Journey, and a sister Patricia (Journey) Hill. Surviving is a daughter Stacy (Kale) Zimmer of Byesville, a brother Ken (Kathy) Journey and a sister Deb (Tim) Wheatly both of Cambridge. Completing the family circle are nieces and nephews, cousins and close friends in Charleston where he lived for many years.
At Richard's request there are no plans for a funeral or memorial service.
