Richard L. Douglass, age 78 of Antrim, died Saturday, November 4, 2006 at the Cambridge Health Care Center. He was a son of the late Charles M. Douglass and Josephine Hannum Douglass.
Mr. Douglass retired from O.D.O.T. and was also a Farmer. He was a member of the Antrim Methodist Church, the Freeport Lodge #415 F&AM for over 50 years, a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Cambridge and Alladin Shrine and The Kambri Shrine.
Richard was married on May 29, 1947 to his wife Sarah Agnes Huston Douglass, she resides of the home.
Also surviving are; 4 sons, Sam Cindy Douglass of St. Clairesville, Ohio,Steve Sherry Douglass of Cambridge, Ohio, William Douglass of Antrim, Ohio and Greg Marianne Douglass of Antrim, Ohio, 2 sister-in-laws, Kate Douglass and Maxine Douglass both of Cambridge, Ohio, 3 grandchildren, Stacey Jacob Douglass Shreyer, Stephanie Sean Douglass Byerly and Barbara Brink, 3 great grandchildren, Blake Shreyer, Braden Shreyer and Ava Byerly, and several nieces and nephews.
Proceeding him in death are, 1 sister, Christine Todhunter and 3 brothers, Sam Douglass, George Douglass and Jim Douglass.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 7, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm with the Freeport Masonic Lodge #415 F&AM conducting their services at 7:00pm. The service will be on Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at 11:00am with Rev. James R. Huston officiating. Burial will follow in Antrim Community Cemetery.
