Robert Dale Kennedy, age 86, of Cambridge, died Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center. He was a son of the late Julius Shriver Kennedy and late Lillie Loretta Galloway Kennedy.
Mr. Kennedy was retired from Cambridge Post Office in 1974 and retired from Cambridge City Park in 1984 from the City Park Maintenance Crew. He was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church in Cambridge. He was in the Army during W.W.II. He was a member of the Barnsville Masonic Lodge #89 for over 60 years, a member of the Eastern Star in Barnsville for over 60 years also.
Robert was married to his wife Mary E. Kearns Kennedy for 56 years, she died in 1998.
Surviving are: 1 daughter; Mollie E. Kennedy-Campbell of Cambridge, Ohio, 1 son; Richard D. Patty Kay Kennedy of Cambridge, Ohio, 1 grandson; Michael Melanie Campbell and 2 great grandchildren; Evan and Colin Campbell.
Proceeding him in death are: 1 brother; Raymond, 2 sisters; Neva S. and Lavella M., and 1 grandchild Eric Douglas Campbell.
Visitation will be on Thursday, March 31, 2005 from 6 to 9pm with a Masonic Service at 7:30pm. Services will be on Friday, April 1, 2004 at 11:00am with Rev. Don Glass officiating. Burial will follow in Guernsey Memory Gardens with Military Graveside Rites given by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
