Robert L. Knox

Robert L. ''Bob'' Knox, Beloved Son, Husband, Father, Grandfather, age 71 passed away Friday, May 5, 2006 at The Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center. He was born March 20, 1935 in Cambridge, Ohio. Employed by Ohio Power as a young man. Owner Operator of Cambridge Sheet Metal & Roofing, worked in Real Estate in the Cambridge area. Bob retired from Fleming/Hartley; Air Conditioning & Roofing as manager in 1997. Known as the ''Tin Man'' because of his creative work with tin. He was a member of Faith United Methodist church Cambridge, Ohio. Robert was also in the Naval Reserves. He enjoyed his life time of memories he spent at Seneca Lake boating, and with his family. A man of integerity and patience, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him, and remembered by his wonderful Sense of humor and one liners. He enjoyed the time he spent golfing with his friends and enjoyed restoring old cars and houses. Past member of the Realtors Assn. and former trustee of the church. A graduate of Cambridge High School Class of 1953. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, H. Clark Knox and Bernice L. Knox. Mr. Knox is survived by his wife Sandra J. Pierce Knox whom he married December 4, 1954. Five daughters, Sheri Tom Hartley of Cambridge, Ohio, Vicki Jeff Jaeger of Woodbridge, Virginia, Pamela Buck Tilton of Cambridge, Ohio, Cynthia Kevin Holbert of Dumfries, Virginia and Karen Ernest Wolfe of Cambridge, Ohio. Eight grandchildren, Eric R. Jessica Johnson, Luke Shelley Knox, Bradley Tilton, Nicole Tilton, Jamie Andrews, Matt Wolfe, Courtney Wolfe, James Holbert. Three step grandchildren, Nicole Holbert, Sara Hartley, Doug Mindy Hartley. One great grandaughter, Meadow Knox. Step Great Grandchildren, Colton Jones, Peyton Hartley, Dillon Hartley. Also survived by several aunts including, Bonnie Batanian of CA and several cousins. Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 6 at Bundy-Law Funeral Home. The funeral service will take place at Faith United Methodist Church, Monday May 8, 2006 at 11:00 am with Rev. Mick Foster. Burial will be in Northwood Cemetery.
