Obituary

Rose Ann Davis, age 100 of Cambridge, passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at The Cardinal Place. She was born in Cambridge on November 12, 1924, a daughter of the late John W. Shepard and Edna (McManus) Shepard.
Mrs. Davis was a 1942 graduate of Cambridge High School. After graduation she worked at Cambridge Dairy for many years. In 1974 along with her husband, they formed the Harold H. Davis Construction company. They had built many area buildings including the former Production Credit building, the former Bank Ohio and Bank One and The Daily Jeffersonian building and the Davis Building where their offices were held. They retired the business in 1987.
Rose Ann and her husband dearly loved spending their time volunteering at Guernsey Memorial Hospital and Southeastern Med., Rose Ann had over 43 years of volunteering service. She was one of the original members of the Ninth Street United Methodist Church in Cambridge. She was on the board of the American Red Cross, and volunteered with the Girl Scouts. In 2002, Rose Ann and Harold received the local Boy Scout's Distinguished Citizens Award. Rose Ann was also a member of the Guernsey County Chamber of Commerce and the Guernsey County Senior Center. She was an avid Ohio State and Cambridge Bobcat fan and followed all her kids and grandchildren's activities.
She and Harold enjoyed their family vacations, many of which just with the grandchildren. They enjoyed their time at the their lake house and their winters in Florida.
Rose Ann is preceded in death by: her parents; her husband Harold H. Davis in 2007, they were married on July 29, 1945; a daughter Cynthia A. Drake; brothers, Arthur E. Shepard, Warren J. Shepard, Richard Shepard and J. William Shepard; and two sisters, Margaret Stranathan and Alice Shepard.
She is survived by: son John A. (& Judy) Davis of Cambridge; grandchildren, Benjamin A. (& Kathy) Davis, Dr. Michael J. Davis (& Henery Marr-Davis), Russell A. Drake III, DruAnn (& Brian) Jurden; great grandchildren, Quentin Meek, Alexander Meek, Chance Meek, Tristen Drake and Jayden Drake; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Bundy-Law Funeral Home on Monday, June 23, 2025 from 11 am to 1 pm with the service beginning at 1 pm. Pastor Nancy Parsons will officiate with burial to follow in Northwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ninth Street United Methodist Church at 129 North Ninth Street, Cambridge, Ohio 43725, The Guernsey County Senior Center at 1022 Carlisle Avenue Cambridge, Ohio 43725 or to Hospice of Guernsey at P.O.
