Sandra J. Knox Thatcher, age 84, of Cambridge, OH passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021 at her home. She was born on October 2, 1936 to the late Hazel and Harold Pierce in Cambridge, OH. Sandra was a very active member of Faith United Methodist Church in Cambridge. She lived to serve her Lord and Saviour and her family was the center of her life. She was a volunteer at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center. She was a very devoted mother and grandmother. She got enjoyment through baking for family and friends. She was best known for her delicious pies. She enjoyed crocheting and sewing. She also enjoyed painting and playing domino's with her friends. She was an avid Buckeyes fan.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert L. "Bob" Knox who passed away on May 5, 2006. Her second husband, Donald C. Thatcher who passed away January 24, 2021. One sister, Donna Smith and a stepson, Chuck Thatcher.
Sandra is survived by five daughters: Sheri (Tom) Hartley of Cambridge, OH, Vicki Jaeger of Woodbridge, VA, Pamela (Buck) Tilton of Cambridge, OH, Cynthia (Kevin) Holbert of Caldwell, OH, Karen (Ernest) Wolfe of Cambridge, OH. Stepdaughter Sandy (John) Pyles of St. Clairsville, OH. Grandchildren: Eric R. (Amiee) Johnson, Luke (Jillian) Knox, Bradley (Lindsey) Tilton, Nicole (Kevin) Hardy, Matt Wolfe, Courtney Wolfe, James Holbert, Jamie Andrews. Step grandchildren, Lisa Porter, Amber Lee, Nicole Holbert, Sara (Robert)Allen, Doug (Melissa) Hartley. Great grandchildren: Meadow Knox, Journie Knox, Blake Hardy, Ben Hardy, Brylee Hardy, Cayson Tilton, Hudson Tilton, Leah Johnson. Several Step great grandchildren. Brother-in-laws, Bob Smith and Delbert (Sally) Thatcher. Three nieces, Deborah, Cindy and Kim.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday at Northwood Cemetery.
