Sandra J. (Sandy) Stewart 89. Hilliard, Ohio
Sandra J. (Sandy) Stewart passed away peacefully on March 29, 2025. She was born on August 3, 1935 in Cambridge, Ohio to the late Charles H. Sipe and Reba Ferne Sipe. She graduated from Cambridge High School in 1953. Sandy received her bachelor degree as a Medical Technician from The Ohio State University in 1957, where she was a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority. Sandy married William G. (Bill) Stewart on December 26, 1958 in First Methodist Church in Cambridge, Ohio. They were married for 36 years before his passing in 1994.
Sandy spent many winters in Nokomis, Florida enjoying the beach and the sun. Sandy's passion for music was expressed through her churches in both Columbus, Ohio and Nokomis, Florida as she actively participated in the choir and handbell choir. She was also an avid bridge, mahjong player, Stephen Ministry volunteer and a huge Mosser, Boyd and Cambridge glass collector.
Sandy is survived by her son Doug (Julie) Stewart and daughter Beth (Todd) Scherer; six grandchildren, Zachary, Trevor, Natalie, Nick, Samuel and Faith; as well as nephews, nieces and cousins.
She is preceded in death by; her parents, husband, brother James (Jim) Sipe and sister Phyllis Gorman.
Memorial visitation will be at Indian Run Methodist Church (6305 Brand Road, Dublin, Ohio 43016) on Friday, April 11, 2025 from 5 pm to 6:30 pm with a Celebration of Life service beginning at 6:30 pm. A family internment will be held at Northwood Cemetery in Cambridge, Ohio on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 11 am.
