Obituary

Sharon Pauline (Peach) Guthrie was welcomed by Jesus with open arms to her heavenly home on Friday, September 16, 2022.
Sharon was born in Cambridge, Ohio on October 14, 1936 to William Alonzo & Pauline (Hall) Wheatley. Their only child, Peach was the light of their life from the moment they laid eyes on her.
She graduated from Cambridge High School in 1954. While in school, she met the love of her life, Ronald (Ronny) Guthrie. Ron won over Sharon's heart by dissecting her frog in Biology. After receiving an "A" in the class, and finally winning over her mother, the couple were married on December 11th, 1954, enjoying almost 68 years together.
The couple were blessed with four daughters. Kimberly Michelle (David) Conrath, Jill Lynn (Bill) Black, Robin Rene' (Dan) Lahmers and Wendy Annette (Tim) Powell.
Twelve grandchildren, Phillip (Angela) Conrath, Dr. Abbe (Taylor) Keen, Jessub (Susan) Black, Dr. Douglas (Shannon) Black, Kelly (Brock) Black, Matthew (Megan) Lahmers, Danielle (Sam) Weinzimmer, Chase VanDyne, Lane (Evan) McCartney, Jordan Powell,
Jamie (Stephen) Dodd, and Roby Powell.
Great-grandchildren, Isabel, Isaac and Irelin Conrath, Amelia, Julianne, and Griffin Keen, Kyler, Koen and Allison Black, Haidyn McElroy, Berkley and Edisyn Black, Conner Roe, Will Sestina, Quinton, Westin and Ellie Lahmers, Grant and Emma Weinzimmer, Finley, Lincoln and Sullivan McCartney, Avery and Sawyer Dodd and Ophelia Powell.
One step-sister Shirley Foraker. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, father and mother-in-law William and Viola Guthrie, sister-in-law Dee Williams and great-granddaughter Hannah Keen.
In addition to keeping busy with family life, being a wonderful mother, homemaker and cook, she helped establish Guthrie Insurance Agency, serving as the bookkeeper and Treasurer of the corporation. Over the years she and Ron enjoyed traveling with State Farm, and Sharon bowled, golfed, played bridge and was an excellent "jitterbugger". She was extremely lucky, parlaying her skills into a recent TV appearance on the Ohio Lottery Show. Sharon was beautiful inside and out, and always kept up on the latest fashions. She loved co-ordinating her clothing with just the right jewelry, handbags and shoes.
Sharon was a 70+ year member of First Baptist Church of Cambridge, a 50 year member of Eastern Star, helped to organize GMH Wing 10, a Charter Member of the Cambridge Lioness Club, Lioness of the Year, and member of the Lion's Variety Show Hall of Fame.
Her extended family includes the Eakin, Chorey and Rocco families. Long time friends, Gayla Gordon, Martha Cherry, and Sally Thatcher. Our special thanks to thanks to Carolyn Stanley, Tracy Foraker and Diane Koenig for their loving care.
And mom, your girls will meet you at the Lazarus hanger box when we all get to Heaven!
Oodles of love!
