Shirley L. Ashe, age 73 of Salesville, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at SEORMC. She was born on December 3, 1945 in Parkersburg, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Buck Morris and Viva (Gallagher) Morris.
Mrs. Ashe enjoyed spending time with family and friends, working in her flower bed, watching the birds, and crocheting prayer shawls for patients at Southeastern Med.
Shirley is preceded in death by: her parents; her husband Harold Ashe, in April 2006; two children, Tony Ashe and Sherry Ashe; two brothers, Edson Morris and Herman Morris; and a sister Helen Powers.
She is survived by: her children, Brian (Laurie) Ashe of Summerville, SC, Tim Ashe of CT and Rita Ashe of Salesville; grandchildren, Timber, Miranda, Colton and Hunter Ashe, Candice Ashe, Melody Danielle Bazzle, Kristen Cox and Dane Denton; a great grandson Gage Tierney, a brother Harry Morris of Barnesville, three sisters, Blanche (Jim) Bishop of Hopewell, Mildred McCort of Barnesville and Betty Larrick of Kimbolton; a sister-in-law Marjorie Morris of Quaker City; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
