Sister Sharon Paul, age 80 of Cambridge, Ohio, passed away at the St. Benedict Convent on June 16, 2024. She was born on May 3, 1944 in Zanesville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Norbert John Paul and Virginia Rose (Coyle) Paul.
Sister Sharon entered the Holy Family Convent in 1962. She professed her vows in 1964. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Holy Family College, Manitowoc, Wisconsin; Master of Arts degree through the University of Dayton, Steubenville, Ohio; and Pastoral Studies from Loyola University, New Orleans, Louisiana.
Sister Sharon ministered as a teacher at St. Mary, Algoma; St. Agnes, Green Bay; St. John, Seymour; St. Mary, Bloomington, all in Wisconsin; and at St. Agnes, Mingo Junction; St. Nicholas, Zanesville and St. Sylvester, Woodsfield, all in Ohio. During her years as a part time teacher in Zanesville Sister Sharon also spent time caring for her parents. She served as principal at St. Benedict, Cambridge, Ohio; St. John, Seymour; St. Mary, Bloomington, Wisconsin. Sister Sharon was involved in Religious Education at St. Agnes, Green Bay; St. Benedict, Cambridge, Ohio. She served in Pastoral Care at St. Mary, West Point, Nebraska and as Pastoral Minister at Christ Our Light Parish, Cambridge, Ohio.
She is preceded in death by: her parents: Norbert and Virginia (Coyle) Paul, her sister Marilyn Paul and brothers-in-law: Fred Freihofer and Robert Bruckner.
Surviving are: Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity, brother (sister-in-law): Wayne (Cassie) Paul; sisters (brothers-in-law): Pamela Freihofer, Diane Bruckner, Cynthia (John) Hatfield; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will take place on Friday, June 21, 2024, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Bundy-Law Funeral Home, 120 N. 11th St., Cambridge, OH 43725. Mass will take place at Christ Our Light Church, Cambridge, Ohio, on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation at Christ Our Light Church 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc, Wisconsin, on a later date.
