Uldine Maye Bates, age 95 of Cambridge, Ohio passed away on Friday October 3, 2025 at Altercare of Cambridge. She was born on December 29, 1929 in Cambridge Township, Guernsey County to the late Hollie J. and Alice (Ross) Ashley. She is also preceded in death by her husband Roland F. Bates Sr. who passed away on July 16, 1993, and by 2 brothers Richard and William Ashley. She graduated from Cambridge High School in 1947 and Attended Cambridge Business College. She worked and retired from Kresge, K-Mart, and WT Grant stores, and was protestant by faith. Uldine is survived by a daughter Alice "Lucy" (Carlin) Carpenter of Kimbolton, a son Roland F. (Randi) Bates Jr. of Cambridge, 4 grandchildren Scott Carpenter, Bethany (Nick) Williams, Adam (Sarrah) Bates, and Jonathan Bates, 3 step-grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 5 step- great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, and cousins. Calling hours will be from 6:00 to 8:00 on Wednesday October 8, 2025 at Bundy-Law Funeral Home with funeral services to be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday October 9, 2025 at the funeral home with Pastor Adam Hall officiating.
