Vernon E. "Gene" Camp, age 76 of Lore City, Ohio passed away on May 6, 2023 at his residence. He was born in Dennison, Ohio to the late Grover and Martha (Ridgeway) Camp. He is also preceded in death by 3 brothers. He served his country as a Marine during the Vietnam War, after he got out of the service he was a over the road truck driver for over 42 years. He was a Life Member of the VFW Post #2901, Antrim American Legion, and a member of the Faith Community Free Methodist Church. Gene is survived by his wife of 50 years Ruth (Larrick) Camp, a daughter Carrie (Rodney) Connor, a grandson Noah Connor, a step-sister Gail Workman, half sister Barbara Camp, half-brother Mike Camp, and 4 nephews and 1 niece. Calling hours were on Wednesday May 10. 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 at Bundy-Law Funeral Home with funeral services at 4:00 at the funeral home with Rodney Reeves officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Northwood Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
