William R. "Bill" Davis, age 95 of Cambridge, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Astoria Place. He was born on October 28, 1928 in Cambridge, a son of the late Byron I. Davis and Mable J. (Archer) Davis.
Mr. Davis served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge #66 F& AM, the V.F.W. #2901 and the Cambridge Elks. Bill had worked and retired from the General Telephone / Verizon company as facility manager for over 35 years.
Bill leaves his wife of over 70 years, Mary L. (Sarchet) Davis. They were married on June 1, 1953. Also surviving are several cousins including Jay Archer & (Jodi Murrey) of Cambridge, John Davis of Columbus, and Jim Archer of Oregon.
A memorial service will be held at Northwood Cemetery Chapel on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 10:30am officiated by Pastor Georgette Gaston.
