William J. "Eli" Evans, age 69 of Cambridge, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at his home. He was born on January 19, 1952 in William, West Virginia, a son of the late William Evans Jr. and Ruth Ann (Gallagher) Evans.
Mr. Evans served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1971 to 1974. He was a mental health caretaker for Guernsey Residential and a member of the Guernsey Masonic Lodge #66 F&AM. Eli enjoyed playing and watching sports and was an avid fisherman.
Eli is survived by: a brother Thomas (Cynthia) Evans of Cambridge; a sister Brenda (Ron) Rice of Massillon; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by a brother Jerry and a sister Kathy.
Graveside services will be held at Guernsey Memory Gardens on Monday, September 20, 2021 at 1 pm. Military Graveside Rites will be performed by the Guernsey County Veterans Council. Eli's online guest book may be viewed and signed at www.bundy-lawfuneralhome.com .
